Considerations to Develop a Long-Term Comprehensive Kendall County Strategic Plan

On June 20, 2019, as part of the its scheduled 2020 Budget Workshop, the Kendall County Commissioners Court received a presentation from Lisa Mutchler, Program Director for Economic and Workforce Development at Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX).

The presentation introduced a potential process for development of a long-term comprehensive strategic plan for the county which could address key strategic areas such as transportation, land use, housing, economic development, design and infrastructure.

You can flip through Ms Mutchler’s slide deck using the controls in the viewer below. You can hit the “full-screen” button in the upper right corner of that viewer to view them larger, and from that full-screen view, tap the download button to download the slide deck as a PDF.

Commissioners Court has allocated funds in the budget to proceed with this strategic planning process, and has pledged to include the community every step of the way. This is a vitally important process and we will keep the community informed about its progress and promote participation.

If you have questions or want more information about next steps in this process, or how to get involved as a citizen, use our interest form to submit your thoughts or questions, and someone from our team will get back with you soon.
