Intermediate VAN + MiniVAN training
August 27 @ 1:30 pm - 5:00 pmFree
It’s finally here! This hands-on training session offers information on how to use VAN and MiniVAN (the app for your phone). We will be at the Patrick Heath Public Library in Community Room B. Sign up for a spot in the training today — and make sure to indicate which session(s) you plan to attend.
This session is for users more comfortable with VAN. We’ll talk about running more advanced reports, using Targets and Scores, running a list to send to MiniVAN, and more. We’ll also cover how to use MiniVAN (the app for your phone that will alleviate the need for paper lists for phone banking and blockwalking).
You may sign up for either or both sessions. The MiniVAN training is the same at both sessions.
IMPORTANT: You need to have a working ActionID (the means for entry into VAN and MiniVAN) before attending this session. We will not have time during the session to troubleshoot access problems. If you plan to attend, please do the following before arriving: • Download MiniVAN onto your smart phone. (Search “MiniVAN” in Google Play Store or AppStore.) • Try signing into VAN on your PC/laptop. If you get the Main Menu screen (pictured above), you’re “in” and OK. If not….contact Becky Strain (firstname.lastname@example.org) for assistance. • Try signing into MiniVAN on your phone (same ActionID/password). If you get the Available Lists screen (pictured at left, or wherever it is), you’re “in” and OK. If not….contact Becky Strain (email@example.com) for assistance.
Please bring your ActionID and password, laptop/tablet, and smart phone. We will have a couple of Party Macs available for those who don’t have portable devices.
(NOTE: spots for non-Kendall County residents are already filled. Please contact your local VAN administrator or the Texas Democratic Party for more training options.
Questions? Contact Becky Strain (firstname.lastname@example.org / 830-388-0109) or Laura Bray (email@example.com, 210-884-6843).
We hope to see you there!
